Hello
which WiFi system would you recommend to me?
We want to have good WiFi for our house and garden that runs stable, has good coverage and solid speed
We have 1 LAN duplex socket on each floor and in the garage.
My idea:
We get 500mbit fiber optic from Vodafone (1 gbit is currently still too expensive, if it gets cheaper I would probably upgrade)
The Vodafone ONT basically takes over the work of the modem (we no longer need a modem and thus have free choice of router)
in the basement:
network cabinet:
1x patch panel
1x 16 port switch
1x router
on the ground floor, first floor and attic
each with 1x access point (ceiling mounting unfortunately not possible, we have the LAN duplex socket under the TV (30cm above the floor) and in front of it will be a lowboard.
We have the following options to place the access point:
1. We mount the access point in the lowboard/cabinet on the back wall.
2. We put/place the access point on a higher cabinet, e.g. approx. 2m high display cabinet
Which system would you recommend to us?
I currently have the following to choose from, but you can also make further suggestions:
AVM or Unifi/TP-Link Omada (Omada is very similar to Unifi but cheaper)
Thank you very much for your help
