Which threaded fitting?, Threaded fittings and pipe connections

we want to start renovating our bathroom in two weeks and since my brother is a trained gas and water installer, he will help us a bit. He just asked me to get the materials beforehand because he is now on vacation for 14 days. So I have already gotten most of the materials, now I wanted to get the stainless steel threaded fittings, but I saw that such a stainless steel threaded fitting comes in different sizes. Is there any way I can find out or measure myself which size I need?

simply measure the outer diameter of the pipe in "mm". The specialist dealer will then be able to tell you the appropriate fittings in inch diameter and sell them to you. If there is no existing pipe to measure yet, tell the specialist dealer the purpose of the pipe (Waschtischanschluss, ...).
