Hi everyone,

I just bought a new condominium and now plan to renovate it properly. However, I am not quite sure what kind of flooring to choose! I want something low-maintenance, durable, that won’t get damaged easily by the tenants, and of course, it should still look good!!! After all, I want to make money with it!

Good evening and happy Sunday,
so whatever always looks very good and increases the Mietpreis is of course parquet. That is also my favorite! And with underfloor heating additionally really nice and warm in winter.

Hey, great feedback, you’re only gone for a short dinner and something’s already there...

I’ve also thought about parquet, it’s my favorite flooring, but I’m a bit worried about how durable parquet is. If tenants constantly move cabinets around or something like that, it will quickly get damaged, right, or is there something you can do about it? Like maybe make it harder or something.

You can seal the parquet so that it becomes more resistant to scratches, liquids, and the like. I will get more information and then write again about what I exactly mean.

Hi everyone,
For my parquet floor, I chose DD varnish because the water-based varnish supposedly wears out very quickly in the high-traffic areas and also made the color of the wood ([Eiche gestreift]) look gray!

The DD varnish needs to vent for a long time before you can re-enter the apartment!

I am now very satisfied with this sealing; the floor also looks much better (honey-colored) and satin matte (still shiny). The varnish was also available in high gloss. Both are equivalent; it is just a matter of taste.
Also, due to the hardness of the varnish, the floor is no longer as sensitive as with water-based varnish!
I also received a 40-year abrasion warranty.

So, as it is now, I am completely satisfied with it

Regards
Stefan

Exactly what FachmanAmWerk posted is what I mean, I had something like that too. and so far everything still looks perfect for me. My parquet is now almost 6 years old.
