Hello everyone,
we are now in the interior finishing phase of our house construction. Now our own work comes into play. Among other things, painting work. Only the important rooms (staircase, living/dining room) will be plastered by a professional later. What concerns us now is applying the right primers. Maybe someone can give us a few tips and answers to the following questions:
- Basement with cast exterior concrete walls and masonry interior walls (aerated concrete + gypsum plaster) we only want to paint white. Here I plan a bonding primer for the concrete wall, as well as a deep primer for the interior walls... Is that correct?
- A partition wall in the basement made of gypsum board wall should also be painted. Here I would also use the bonding primer?
- Remaining rooms in the attic and ground floor should be wallpapered with non-woven wallpaper on gypsum plaster, gypsum plasterboards on the ceiling and gypsum board walls. Here I would use a special wallpaper primer!?
Is this procedure correct or sensible with regard to durability, etc.?
We would appreciate your support. Many thanks in advance.
