Hello everyone,

we are still considering whether to go with a concrete cellar or just a black tank. The soil report recommends at least a black tank. However, almost only concrete cellars have been installed in the neighborhood.
Our developer initially assumed a black tank and made us an offer for an interior plastering of the cellar. That amounts to just under 3000,-. Is it the same price or cheaper for a concrete cellar?

Regards
Tobi

A black or white tank is, to my knowledge, a concrete basement. The difference is that with the black tank, the basement is completely sealed on the outside once with bitumen, and with the white tank, something is added to the concrete (and the construction is done somewhat differently, e.g., thicker walls, etc.).

OK, then I had misunderstood "schwarze Wanne". But I actually meant a masonry cellar with reinforced outer bitumen layer and fabric inserts.

We have a concrete basement constructed as a white tank. Our plasterer easily applies plaster to this as well as to the rest of the house.

Unfortunately, the interior finishing of the basement was not included in the price for us. This was also not really clear from the offer. Well, be that as it may. We have an offer for interior plastering of a masonry basement for just under 3000,-. Is it easier and perhaps cheaper for a concrete basement?

The interior finishing was also not included for our basement. However, our plasterer gave us an overall offer for the entire house including the basement. Whether this would be easier or more expensive with a masonry basement, I do not know.
