Which insurances are necessary when building with general contractors?

We have taken out a builder's liability insurance and a fire shell construction insurance.

Why did you only take out a fire shell construction insurance?
Our shell construction insurance covers damages caused by fire, lightning strike, explosion, storm, and hail. When I read the news from the last two weeks about the damage hail has caused here in Baden-Württemberg, I am glad to have this insurance.
