Hey everyone,

first of all, thank you for the answers and sorry that I’m only getting back to you now. There has been a lot going on lately
You get bombarded with more or less good advice from all sides... At some point, you don’t know which way is up...
The other day, someone told me that they can’t imagine that no mold would develop in the ducts of the controlled ventilation system in the long run... Has anyone heard anything about that or had their own experiences?

Since the supply air is separated from the exhaust air and the supply air passes through a filter, this is rather unlikely. The complicated cleaning in case of emergency prompted our planner and ultimately my wife to choose a decentralized system. As the owner of a decentralized system: next time I would rather have a centralized system installed – albeit not with full conviction. A controlled residential ventilation system definitely again.

Because the decentralized thing - as a very sensitive person - is too loud for me at level 2.

Besides that, there are little things that don't bother me so much, like occasional light smoke smell when the wind is in the wrong direction and the neighbors are mixing wet spruce with newspaper again (but that happens with central systems too), noises in strong wind (although sometimes I'm not sure if it's really the outlets), and cleaning 10 filters.

Although I would definitely find something to complain about if I had a central system.

I have also not seen a decentralized system at acquaintances that convinced me, but I have definitely seen many centralized ones. I find the appearance and noise disturbing there. You can simply do better with centralized systems, and especially volume is crucial for me. However, my sample is not arbitrary large either. But there must be a reason why almost everyone, especially in the [rosa Forum], is PRO centralized system in new buildings.
