Hello everyone,
we are quite far along in planning our dream house. We wanted to build a single-family house with T9 bricks (36.5cm) in Tuscany style.
Now we are stuck on the width of the interior walls. I have read in many forums that it is perfectly sufficient if the load-bearing walls are 17.5-24cm and the other walls 11.5cm. That seems quite thin to me.
My builder considers these wall thicknesses completely OK. What do the experts here in the forum say about this?
I would feel more comfortable if the load-bearing walls were 24cm and everything else 17.5cm. What speaks against that? Is it just a waste of space?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
