What size shower do you have? Any suggestions?

we are currently considering how big our shower should be. It will definitely be a tiled shower. At first, we planned 120cm x 90cm. Now we are thinking about going for 120 x 120, as we would like to have a larger shower. Are there any experiences / suggestions / criticism regarding the size of the shower?

The bathroom is 2.88m x 3.72m in size.

If it is to be an open, walk-in shower, I would recommend 140cm depth if possible, width 90-100cm. 120x120 might already seem too large, similar to the swimming pool, because there is nothing around it or too much space. We stay with 90cm width and half-height tiled/bricked walls. Then the glass is mounted on the outside, which creates a supporting surface on the inside. My focus would therefore be more on room depth than on width; in my opinion, that is where the gain lies.

It's not about the placement of the shower, only about the size and the experiences.

We chose 100x120 to be able to shower together without feeling cramped. Alone, the size is very comfortable. I can't say if more depth would bring any advantages, I don't know what for. The bigger the shower, the more you have to think about the size and position of the fittings. A huge shower with a 12.99 Ikea showerhead is pretty pointless. ;)
