As a room divider, a tunnel/see-through fireplace is to be used between the dining room and living room.
On the right, the passage is 2m and on the left, the breakthrough for the stove is 1.30m. Wall thickness 40cm.
Attached is a current picture of the wall breakthrough as well as a picture (Pinterest) of how it should look later.

What should be considered when buying a stove?
How much does something like this cost?
Which stove manufacturer is recommended?
Can the stove + cladding be assembled by oneself or does one have to be a stove fitter for that?

Thank you very much

No idea. But that wasn't a load-bearing wall you destroyed there, was it?

I can only tell you the costs, approximately 12,000 to 18,000 euros. Depending on the execution.

Right. That was also my first thought. First build up the wall, then knock it out. Makes a lot of sense. You probably did it yourselves, didn’t you?

"Build up and then knock out" Before two rooms, after one room. This is sometimes done during renovations...
No, it was not a load-bearing wall, and no, the whole thing was previously coordinated with a construction company + structural engineer. But that's not relevant to the topic now.

Pay attention to the correct sizing of the stove - if heating capacity and room match, everything is fine. If not, the stove will soon be turned off.
