Hello Felix

The Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV) precisely regulates who is allowed to perform which type of installations / connections:

- In one’s own four walls (owner-occupied or rented), absolutely anyone may carry out installations provided there is FI protection and only single-phase
- Trained electricians are allowed to carry out all installations themselves in the owner-occupied home
-- in both cases, the installations must be approved by a licensed installation company

- All other installations must be carried out by companies that hold a concession. At least one person with a master certificate is required for this

- For the connection of devices (kitchen appliances, mirror cabinets, photovoltaic system inverters, boilers, heating, etc.) anyone can obtain an electrical connection permit (course and exam)

The whole thing is supervised by the ESTI.

Best regards
Josef

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I am clearer about it now because it is especially important for the acceptance to be done by professionals. Pulling the cables can be done by trained personnel. But the inspection must be carried out by specialist companies.

The electrical wiring on the construction site is often done today by semi-skilled helpers. The acceptance is important and trained professionals must carry this out. In my own four walls I can do quite a lot. Nothing must happen, otherwise trouble will come into the house.
