Hello Felix
The Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV) precisely regulates who is allowed to perform which type of installations / connections:
- In one’s own four walls (owner-occupied or rented), absolutely anyone may carry out installations provided there is FI protection and only single-phase
- Trained electricians are allowed to carry out all installations themselves in the owner-occupied home
-- in both cases, the installations must be approved by a licensed installation company
- All other installations must be carried out by companies that hold a concession. At least one person with a master certificate is required for this
- For the connection of devices (kitchen appliances, mirror cabinets, photovoltaic system inverters, boilers, heating, etc.) anyone can obtain an electrical connection permit (course and exam)
The whole thing is supervised by the ESTI.
Best regards
Josef
