Hello everyone,

last summer I built a log cabin. Since the logs settle and also expand and contract due to temperature, I have to mount all wall attachments on so-called sliding strips. Accordingly, I had to design my bathroom that way as well. I tiled the attachments accordingly. Now, however, I have the ugly cuts of the tiles at the edges next to the logs and want to cover them with trim. I last did this with quarter-round trims, which I nailed to the logs. Now, of course, they keep falling off again bit by bit because the logs move. So I wanted to ask you, as I just can't come up with a good idea on how you would do it!? I have attached a picture so you can see what I mean.

Looking forward to any tips!
Thanks in advance.

Best regards
Lehry

Hi,

first of all, thank you for your reply.
Yes, I could leave the joints uncovered until the house has settled. But since that takes a good two years and I would prefer to have the joints covered, that takes too long for me.

I have to admit that this is not very clear in the photo. So that you can get a better impression and maybe understand better why I want it covered, I will take a better picture tonight and post it. :-)
Maybe you will take another look then!?

Thanks and best regards
