Hello,

what actually happens when the warm air reaches the vapor barrier but does not condense there due to sufficiently high temperatures? Something must happen to it because it is humidity after all.

2nd question:

If the insulation is installed wet or becomes somewhat wet during a winter or similar and then the vapor barrier is applied in front of it. What then? Because many people surely encounter such problems, right?

The question is specifically about our planned wall (from inside to outside)

1. Gypsum board
2. OSB
3. 6cm installation cavity with insulation wool
4. Vapor barrier
5. 20cm insulation wool
6. Wind barrier foil (diffusion-open)
7. 1.5cm air
6. 7cm log beam

Many thanks :-)

Nothing happens at all. That is why the dew point is calculated during the construction. If the construction is right, nothing or so little condenses in the structure that damage-free re-drying can take place.
