What is meant nowadays by "modern house construction"? Is everything simply square and with a flat roof? Or can modern house construction also include round elements as [Hundertwasser] demonstrated...
The works of Hundertwasser in Vienna are certainly an example of modern house construction, but I think that modern house construction should not be limited in general, in other words: everything is possible!
If I had to set a framework here, I would say that modern house construction values modern materials a lot... with these, one can achieve completely new architectural freedom, and that is probably what defines modern house construction.
There is no modern house construction; a current trend might be the square Tuscany style with a hipped roof. Sometimes some also think they show a modern flair through unmotivated bay windows and roof projections and recesses, but it is usually just embarrassing, as are failed borrowings from "old" houses.
