Waterproofing membrane or Katif foil?

We laid the Katja ourselves in the basement, it's not particularly difficult, you just need endless cutter blades. Reason: The basement builder recommended we do it ourselves. It wasn't much work and the costs were also reasonable.

Wasn't the foil damaged by the workers (electricians/heating installers, etc.)? It is so thin...

You want to lay a foil because of the thermal insulation? That must be a cool foil...
Or am I misunderstanding something (condensation, etc)?

Anyway. If you were told you get 16cm screed on the foil / welding membrane, then the good man / good woman definitely means insulation + screed.
