Good day!
Due to the current situation, unfortunately my sanitary specialist company canceled on me and I have to handle the water installation in my newly purchased old building myself. I have decided on multilayer composite pipes with screw fittings from the company CONNECT. Now I am unsure about the connection to the fresh water (cold). Can someone tell me which adapter I need to connect a 16 mm multilayer pipe to the water connection? The galvanized steel pipe visible in the second photo runs about 8 meters along the basement ceiling and then splits at a T-piece into copper pipes of smaller diameter. Do I possibly have to provide this section with a larger diameter as well? The water basically only goes to the ground floor; on the first floor there is only a toilet with a washbasin, where lower water pressure would not be a big problem.
I have attached the photo. On the brass(?) part it says "RN22 DVGW Kiwa".
If any information is missing to solve this problem, please just ask and I will provide the missing info – since I am "only" a hobbyist, it wouldn't surprise me if this thread has technical gaps.
If someone could help me I would be very, very grateful!
Best regards!
