According to DIN, backwash every two months or change filters every six months for non-backwashable filters.

Everyone raise your hand who has done one of the two options in the last 12 months ...

I would be interested to know what the practice looks like

If nothing breaks on the backwash filter, then I would just stretch it a bit ...

Flushed annually. And I can't even say that the filter is hard to access ...

Every now and then when you just happen to think about it... So since moving in 2015, about four or five times?

But there’s quite a bit that you see swimming around in the bucket. It’s at least not the worst investment.

Has anyone ever cleaned the little filters on the faucets? It’s worth doing regularly too.

Only clear water came out of the [Rückspülfilter].

There are automatic backwash filters, so ["Rückspülfilterautomat"]. Then you practically don’t have to touch it anymore. With a manual backwash filter, you should provide an (open!) drain pipe or a hose directly. That saves you the bucket and the effort of backwashing really approaches zero.
