@Brootos: @bergpriv:

Thanks, if only I had read the instructions right away. That has nothing to do with the odor barrier anymore.

It’s already there... :oops: . Shame on me... ;)

Thank you all. I will give my husband the task this afternoon and report back to you whether it worked! Best regards, Lorie

It's clear. Like driving a car without a GPS. You drive around and can't find the address, the woman asks for directions.

Hello Lorie!

In the photos, it doesn’t look wrong. To try it out, I would simply remove the plug connection from the wall and put it in a bucket. If the sink then drains without any problems, I would bet my hand that your problem lies in the pipe in the wall and not in the IKEA siphon.

But for (your) plumber, such a fault analysis is too complicated and too time-consuming. It’s much easier not to even narrow down the problem but immediately throw around some "bullshit slogans."

Find yourself another more competent installation partner; surely there are other options available to you. ;)

Best regards

PS: As others have written, the hose is really long, and if possible I would shorten it, but that’s probably not really the problem.

I have the same problem with the drain. It is simply the question of how and at which end I can shorten the spiral hose.

Thank you very much
