Upper floor or ground floor? Is there an exterior wall?

The damage is on the upper floor, but not near an exterior wall. I have uploaded some photos. The laminate at that spot was completely soaked.

Is the foil normal? I don't know it at all within the house...

Hello! The foil is laid as a vapor barrier beneath the laminate. I consider wipe water practically impossible. In that quantity? Then it would have to pass through the laminate and the vapor barrier.
