Water damage on new screed

But that's quite a feat, drilling into the screed without affecting the insulation. I also believe that with this type of screed, it has to be replaced.

But it is possible, it just has to be done by a good company. In my neighborhood, the same approach was used. Their screed was also submerged after a water damage. They then carefully drilled into the floor and blew warm air inside.

Whether that is the best solution, I can't judge.

We also listened to our architects and decided on anhydrite screed. Unfortunately, there was a water ingress about 3 months ago. The floor was completely under water. The disadvantage is that this anhydrite screed is very sensitive to moisture. The drying time is relatively short, but the disadvantage outweighs this.

Now we have had it replaced with cement screed. This one is more robust.
