Hello everyone,

we are currently, unfortunately still, in the shell construction phase and during the last visit to the construction site we noticed that a wall, see pictures, is so wet because water runs down from the non-drained roof terrace that a wall on the 1st floor already has moss growth.

Is there a way to get this wall dry quickly so that the plasterer can start soon?

For clarification:
The roof terrace on the 2nd floor currently has no drainage except for the outlet where the water runs directly along the outer wall; it was simply forgotten... as was the insulation of the roof terrace, which luckily we as the builders noticed.
The missing drainage only became apparent to us after the walls were already raised.

In the meantime, the pipes for draining the roof terrace have been laid in the floor, but the general contractor is ignoring the other issues.

What options do we have to get the wall dry quickly, properly, and effectively?

Regards
M

None?

The water must be directed away from the wall on the outside, no matter how. Otherwise, you can dry the inside as much as you want.

First fight the cause, then the symptoms.

Can you connect something to the drainage on top? KG elbow/pipe and away from the building.

But why do you want to get the wall dry? Plastering brings more water into your house than it has ever seen before.

What does the house look like from the outside? Is the insulation already attached?

There is no insulation on the outside. The Ytongg stone is 34 if I remember correctly.

The plasterer said that the wall cannot be plastered when it is that wet, otherwise the plaster will come off.

That is enough as a statement, after toxicmolotow has already said everything (?)

The missing drainage is precisely not a drainage that can continue to be missing – this significant defect must be remedied, before / otherwise everything else makes no sense.

And don't forget: Document damages professionally and bill the responsible party properly and within the deadline!
