Oh man, I really don't know what to do now. Risk it and cut it open and thereby make it look worse, or leave it as it is because it won't change anyway and live with it... I also thought about putting a really heavy object there so that over time it presses down by itself.

But then you have that "problem" with any floating installation in a room. In the bedroom you have heavy wardrobes standing on it. In the living room maybe also heavy cabinets. We don't have vinyl, but parquet laid as a floating floor, and also in the kitchen, and have no problems.

Of course, I would think that it simply depends on how many meters of flooring are in front and how the sunlight/expansion is.

You completely underestimate the power of temperature-related expansion. The vinyl floor doesn't care about the 250kg/m² standing on it; it expands and contracts as it pleases.
