Hello, I am currently in the process of converting a granny flat with my own labor. Regarding the ventilation of the windowless bathroom and the adjacent separate WC, some unexpected problems have now arisen. Therefore, I hope someone can give me tips and advice on how I might proceed. The ventilation of the bathroom (approx. 6 sqm) and WC (approx. 3 sqm) should also include a kitchen extractor hood. The house is an old building. Unfortunately, I cannot take the direct short route to the parallel outer wall for possible ventilation because a load-bearing ceiling beam runs through the ceiling. A roof ventilation is also not possible, as there is still an apartment on the upper floor. Due to a low installation height, I can probably accommodate only a flat duct system in the ceiling. The total length to a possible wall outlet is approx. 8 meters (if possible, but perhaps dispensable, I could install a 90° branch at the end). Now my questions: Which fans could I use (if I can install the fan at the end of the system, a larger diameter and the installation of a round duct might also be possible there)? Is it possible and sensible to use T-pieces to integrate the three ventilation points? How can the fan be switched on? I would be very happy if someone could help me solve my problem. If necessary, I can also send an illustrative drawing.
