Use/Storage of open attic space - Ideas wanted

We had the same challenge and closed off the space above the bathroom. The entrance is very narrow and has a handmade simple door, whose surface has the same clay plaster as the wall. Up there are children's toys, old photos, and seasonal decorations :p. To get up there, we lean a ladder against it, as we hardly ever need to access it. Here is a snapshot:

Thanks, we have a similar situation with the usage. Unfortunately, we can probably only access it from the living area; the hallway area would have been preferable, but ultimately it will likely fade out of focus again at some point. Consequently, it will probably be something similar; the open space was more of an initial whim that looked quite nice in the picture..... :cool:
