I have ordered a new terrace roof and the installation was supposed to be done with thermal insulation anchors. After some discussions, the installation company finally drilled the holes with a wet core drill without hammering and glued in the anchors. Now I have two questions.

1. Is it possible that the insulation absorbs a lot of water? (because of the wet drilling)
2. Is the wall connection profile fastened to the thermal insulation anchors or to the brick facade?

In my opinion, it should be fastened to the protruding thermal insulation anchors, otherwise there would be enormous leverage and pressure exerted on the facade. By the way, the insulation thickness is 200mm plus 2cm air space and 11cm brick.

That is a pretty semi-detached house. I can't say anything about the question, but I'll link https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/terrassenueberdachung-mit-waermedaemmduebel.47377/#post-661850

I installed the same ones for a stainless steel chimney and the instructions say that the black intermediate dowels should protrude 1-2mm above the facade. And that answers your question B, namely that the profile is then tightened against this black dowel. This is supposed to prevent the ETICS from being compressed. So it looks incorrectly installed to me on your part. Do you still have supports on the house from the patio roof or are there only supports on the opposite side?
