I have ordered a new terrace roof and the installation was supposed to be done with thermal insulation anchors. After some discussions, the installation company finally drilled the holes with a wet core drill without hammering and glued in the anchors. Now I have two questions.
1. Is it possible that the insulation absorbs a lot of water? (because of the wet drilling)
2. Is the wall connection profile fastened to the thermal insulation anchors or to the brick facade?
In my opinion, it should be fastened to the protruding thermal insulation anchors, otherwise there would be enormous leverage and pressure exerted on the facade. By the way, the insulation thickness is 200mm plus 2cm air space and 11cm brick.
