Hi guys,
we have received offers for our single-family house and for 36.5 bricks, W08 Unipor (unfilled) are to be used. The builder has offered the filled W08 Unipor Coriso for an extra charge of about €5000.
Now I hear extremely different opinions on the topic of filled / unfilled:
- Our architect says: "Definitely do it!"
- The builder himself says that is wasted money if you don't also install soundproof windows (currently "only" triple glazed)
- Another builder we also asked would definitely recommend them and he says he himself has unfilled ones and hears every car door slamming outside in his bedroom
- Friends who know about this also say different things
According to the data sheet, the two bricks have 40 dB vs. 45 dB sound insulation. Do those 5 dB make that much difference? I am actually a bit sensitive to noise.
Can someone help me?
Best regards Elias
