Hello everyone,
I am urgently looking for people here who have had a floor heating system milled into the existing screed in their house/apartment.
Please tell me how long it has been installed, how satisfied you are with it, and which company installed it for you. Maybe also what to watch out for, etc.
Perhaps you know someone from your circle of friends/relatives who has had this done and you know how satisfied they are.
Unfortunately, my heating installer advises against it. Especially because the pipes are very thin, can easily clog, the screed gets weakened/damaged, and the heat distribution is sh... because the pipes lie very high, no guarantees/warranties are given, etc. etc. etc.
Of course, a proper floor heating system would be better. But we cannot tear out our perfectly good, only 20 years old screed, 100 sqm, just because the system of retrofitting milling is not known here (Bavaria/Upper Palatinate). It is also sufficiently insulated underneath, etc.
THANK YOU for your feedback
