Dear forum community,
a warm hello and at the same time an advance apology in case I posted in the wrong forum, I am a bit confused and hope for advice here.
Our problem: about 10 days ago, a company installed the - how do you actually say? - "heating loops" in the rooms, that is insulation - foil - grid - pipes. Everything is already connected to the distributors, so custom-made!
Now the screed layer installer found that the insulation layer is far too high and he can no longer even lay the minimum thickness of screed. Of course, we don’t want the screed to crack in a few years... That means: everything out again!!!
MY QUESTION TO YOU: what should be considered now? Can the pipes laid in loops, curves, and bends simply be bent apart and re-laid? Could that lead to cracks? Even our construction contractor says he has never seen anything like this.
How can I protect myself? What do I have to watch out for?
Gratefully for your advice I greet you
Klaus
