Hello everyone,

since this is my first post in this forum, I would like to introduce myself briefly. My name is Alex, I am 29 years old and I am currently planning a new single-family house with my wife and my 17-month-old daughter.

We have been living since 2010 with my parents-in-law and my brother-in-law in a multi-generational house (3 households) and for various reasons, we urgently want to move out and start our own project... :)

In our village, a local resident model is currently being developed and we now fortunately have the opportunity to choose one of the five remaining plots. However, we are not quite sure which one to take. The problem is that we only have a short period of time to make a decision because we do not want/cannot keep the families behind us on the waiting list waiting.

For this reason, I would be interested in your assessment. I will not disclose our favorite plot(s) so that you can be unbiased.

Plot 1: 517 m² Plot 2: 414 m² Plot 3: 527 m² Plot 4: 508 m² Plot 5: 501 m²

Looking forward to an active exchange of opinions :)

Best regards

Alex

P.S. if this is relevant, we are planning a single-family house with approx. 140 - 150 m² of living space + double garage and possibly a basement.

Hello Alex,

I would choose 3, simply because you are right next to the park there (where your child will probably also play).
Furthermore, you can orient your terrace to the south / southwest and thus stay longer in the evening after barbecuing...

If you like living by the water, then also plot 2, however, it looks like the terrace / garden can only be oriented to the east here (plus a possible mosquito plague in summer).

Best regards,
Ani

I think I would also prefer the 3 because of the possibility to build the terrace on the south side.

Thank you very much for your answer first, I have to say that these blue-marked fields are only so-called balancing ponds, so they are not permanently filled with water but only when the little stream in the east overflows...

A playground is going to be built in the park (probably for the children of the whole settlement), whether that will cause noise disturbance, I don't know :/

Are 500 sqm enough for you?

Hello Alex,

well, the question that probably no one can answer for you is how your house is planned or what you have in mind? Dimensionally 10x10 or rather 8x13 meters, just thrown into the room in an exaggerated way. Because I would also make the plot decision dependent on that. ;)

In terms of size, they are all similar and probably sufficient for you.
