Hello,

we build turnkey, i.e. the electrician is included in the total price.

However, the construction description only provides one socket below the switch and a double socket per room.

That’s not enough for me. The electrician charges 40 euros per socket as an additional service.

I am a trained electrician and want to install the additional sockets myself.

Just like empty conduits for network cables, TV, and telephone.

I have addressed this with the general contractor. He was not so enthusiastic about the idea because of the warranty but said that this would have to be discussed with the electrician.

We have not yet signed the contract with the general contractor.

Does anyone have any idea how I can manage this somehow?

Any negotiation tips, etc.?

Thanks!!

Regards Uwe

Thank you.

Yes, I had forgotten to write that.

I had requested that, but they told me that I would then get about 6000 euros "waived."

But for 6000 euros, I cannot hire an electrician. I asked two. They said that is not enough, which I can also believe.

And for time reasons, I do not want to do the whole construction, but only the costly "additions."

Then you have to have the necessary things done by an independent electrician, the sockets and all the extra stuff yourself. Isn't it possible for you to take the electrician trade and have the additional sockets invoiced by him? We had to/was allowed to arrange all extras with the craftsmen ourselves. Those were completely different prices: instead of 39.50 then 26 per socket.

You mean there is then only the option to have the electrician do everything?!

Yes, with us it is already the case that we have to negotiate that directly with the electrician. But from the general contractor I once heard the figure of 40 euros per socket...
