Hello _Oscar_,
the functionality of the Permatrade devices is unfortunately only ensured with a high continuous water flow rate. Longer periods of stagnation and household-typical water volumes lead to a loss of the charging imparted to the water during its flow through the devices, i.e., adhesion of hardness-forming substances is unavoidable.
The Permatrade principle works very well as a central device at the water inlet of a multi-family residential building or public facilities such as swimming pools or hospitals.

Then I would advise: read the user manual and check it out :-) There are test kits that allow you to measure the hardness level of the water. This was even included with our system (however BWT). That way you only have a gut feeling, make it measurable!

Thank you very much, that already helps me! We are a small household and also economical in consumption, sometimes not there for days, so the device does not seem to be very suitable for us.

The hardness level was, as mentioned above, previously at 12 and is still the same despite the system.

Yes, it cannot be otherwise because the system does not remove lime from the water but changes its structure. The hardness level before the system is always the same as after it.
This structural change is supposed to bind the lime and prevent/make the deposition inside the system more difficult.

The manufacturer himself states that you cannot prevent lime deposits on faucets or in the kettle with this system.

What you actually want is a descaling system/softening system.

1. 12°dH is not hard. 2. The system is not a water softening system, but a "scale protection". 3. What was commissioned and how in the sanitary sector?
