Hi,
we recently had the vapor barrier installed. The workers either forgot their folding rule or just glued some kind of rubbish on it. We don’t want to overdramatize, since the screed will be laid on top anyway. But aside from the fact that I find it quite sloppy, can this cause problems?

It’s hard to see in the picture unfortunately, but it’s raised enough to be clearly noticeable – about the size of a folding rule.

Hi, uneven ground leads to a weakening of the screed in this area. In the worst case (I neither know the screed thickness nor the extent of the unevenness), this can lead to a break under point load. What do the workers and architect say about it? I would have the botched work removed while it is still possible and make sure that the vapor barrier is properly sealed again.
