Hello everyone,
our gravel driveway is only slightly below street level. With gravel and paving stones, we will of course be a few centimeters above the street. How was/is the transition handled with you when the driveway is higher than the street level? Can cold asphalt be used for this? Or which material is suitable?
From the beginning, we tolerated being higher because the street is supposed to be redone in the next few years. We wanted to avoid being below street level and possibly having a pond on the driveway when it rains (exaggerated speaking), because the water runs off from the street onto our driveway.
The solution for the transition from the driveway to the current street thus does not have to be a permanent solution either - but it should hold for a few years if possible.
THANK YOU!
