Hi,

we have a wooden staircase going up, just a standard staircase. Upstairs there is carpet.

What kind of transition strips can be used upstairs? Or something else? How have you solved this?

Thanks for your help

Has no one solved this so far? Did everyone just put the carpet directly on the stairs without a transition?

But
Or rather, it is still...
But where is the problem now? The carpet is cut and glued exactly at the wooden stairs. Just like the transition from the tiled area in the bathroom to the carpet in the hallway.
No rail is needed.

Ok, that was exactly my question

But can't you see a transition there? It just surprises me that there are transition strips everywhere, but not there?
The cut edge of the carpet will clearly be visible.

Yes... The edge should be straight and cut. The adhesive should also be applied cleanly at the edge.

Transition strips are actually meant to conceal height differences. I would avoid using them, except: if it is a cheap carpet that frays.

Tiles at the transition are, by the way, installed with an embedded metal strip, that is, from below. This then keeps the grout in place.
