Hello!
We are getting an open living/dining area on the ground floor, where the tile floor is supposed to transition into parquet.
I have often seen such wide transition strips made of aluminum or similar materials, which I don’t like.
But I was told that this is necessary because the floors work/move due to the underfloor heating.
Does the joint really have to be so big that it can’t be done otherwise? I rather feel that the craftsmen would need to work more precisely (but don’t want to) because of the visible edges.
If you enter "Parkett Fliesen Übergang" in Google image search, the 5th result shows the transition with a slim stop strip, just like I imagine it.
How have you solved this?
Best regards,
Daniel
