Topping-out ceremony, housewarming, and more

How was that with the beer party at my place I am somewhat with . I am also in contact with a few others here from the forum and would have no problem with that. With "strangers" from the forum rather no. At least not with a project like that.

I don't want any crazy guys in my place either... if word gets around... you can easily sneak into such a forum and ingratiate yourself... and then the floor plans are in there, the place of residence via private message, and then a year later some shady characters can be sent over. Yeah okay, might be paranoid.

PN is not public, but I still wouldn't necessarily post private addresses in forums.

Apart from that, I don't think the idea is bad, but I would prefer the organization of a meeting to be done by the operator here, not at just anyone's home. For visiting construction sites, you can organize that among yourselves or in your own threads.

So a real forum meeting? Hmm... I don't think I would drive around for 2 hours or longer for that. I'd rather do it for a topping-out ceremony.

I once attended a forum meeting over 10 years ago. It was really nice and pleasant. Only the hard core really showed up.
