Thank you all for the many responses. The option of selling after moving would of course be the nicest. And currently, there is certainly no need to worry about not being able to sell the house. We bought about 10 years ago and accordingly, it will be a profitable transaction either way.
should be trouble-free. As I said, interim financing is the magic word and a standard process for banks. One should keep the timeline in mind and market the current property so that there is enough breathing room by the time the new building is occupied. Waiting too long means double burden due to interim financing.
