Hello everyone,

we are building a house, timber frame construction, Q2 plastered.

For interior design, we want to work with breathable interior plaster for rolling application.

We have decided on a brand product, Knf Esiputz in fine grain.

Since all interior walls consist of gypsum plasterboards, which are known to be highly absorbent, we need to prime.

The question is whether we can use a standard primer there or if there is a better alternative.
The information we have gathered partly contradicts itself; what are your experiences, or what would you advise us?

Best regards

I'm not a professional, but I plan to do the exact same thing. So mineral plaster in good brand quality and primer 0815. I think you just have to try it in one room...

Just use the primer from the respective plaster manufacturer. The price differences are not that big. For the whole house with 170sqm living space, I probably needed about 25 liters of primer for walls and ceiling.

Hi the primer must be completely dry in any case, possibly apply twice and especially the corners The plastering should be done at a room temperature between 18 and 22 degrees and avoid drafts so that the surface dries evenly

Stir the plaster well from time to time, you will see that you get a feel for it. It will work, take your time. You can also try it beforehand on a drywall panel, for example, apply with the trowel and wipe crosswise with a wide moistened glaze brush, etc. With only little pressure.
