Good day,

we would like to have tiles (45x90cm) laid in the bathroom (13m2) on the upper floor of our detached house, where the screed is already in place. The tiler says he needs a staircase for this, which we do not have yet. The windows are already installed, we could at most get a ladder to get from the ground floor to the upper floor. However, I imagine that carrying the tile packages would be quite exhausting using a ladder.
Has anyone ever faced this problem or simply has helpful tips on how to get the heavy tiles upstairs under these circumstances?

(Waiting until the staircase is there is not an option)

Thanks in advance!

And why is a construction staircase not an option if the situation lasts longer?

1. with ladders 2. with electric cable winch 3. with construction staircase 4. with protected original staircase I would choose 1+2 for price/performance

Why don't you have a self-built construction staircase like every other construction?

Was not brought up by our construction company. We are laypeople. The tiles need to be laid in about 2 weeks already. I could imagine that you can no longer get this staircase so spontaneously now. We had indicated tiles and painter as own contribution, we have to take care of it ourselves.. First of all, thank you

If applicable, this question is too layman-like, but how do I best get the heavy tile packages up using a ladder? :D
