Hello everyone, I finally want to build on my plot, have shortlisted four house construction companies – and am stuck with the decision because each has its own philosophy for the perfect wall structure.

Poroton brick, insulation, plaster, plus triple glazing
----------------------------------------------------------------
Probably a classic nowadays. The house is absolutely airtight. The walls cannot "breathe," moisture from the house cannot escape. A ventilation system is therefore mandatory.

Stone, mineral wool, air, clinker, plus triple glazing
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Walls "breathe" a bit better, companies still recommend a ventilation system.

36.5 Wienerberger thermal brick, plaster, no further insulation, plus double glazing
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mercedes among the bricks, no more insulation needed, walls can breathe, triple glazing not necessary.

Which company is right and offers the perfect wall?

-------------------------

I have removed the names of the providers, otherwise I would have had to move the post to the moderated forum.

Rhenish greetings

What is this, a commercial? Why are triple-glazed windows a bad thing? Who says that is the Mercedes? People also like to call the stone "Krümelkeks". Why are ventilation systems bad? A modern house should not breathe uncontrollably... that's the fun of it. Besides, the stones are hardly so diffusion-open that the required air exchange can be achieved that way - that would mean that the heating costs would correspond to those of an old building. Every version has its pros and cons, there are countless articles and forum posts about it...

All walls are perfect in their own way - the house is airtight and does not breathe in any variant. Controlled residential ventilation is therefore highly recommended. Which wall you choose is your personal decision, you will live well in every house.

If you want to build with a GÜ, then trust their construction technique. There are other points that influence the consideration of which construction partner it should be. This is my personal opinion that you do not need to know everything better; for laypeople, cost and quality in construction are certainly more important and easier to assess.

We are also tinkering with the planning of the solid house. We definitely want to build solid and without insulation, unless there would be a cost-equivalent insulation without Styrofoam... But well, that is actually questionable too.

The healthier brick is the Poroton (diffusion-open), the cheaper and easy to process brick is the aerated concrete.

The agony of choice, currently we favor the T9 approximately an additional cost compared to the aerated concrete of 8500 euros.

So the question overall is not easy to answer which is the best wall construction. We are thinking ourselves... ultimately one has to consider what the cost may be.

Regards
