The garden pond is overflowing into the unknown. How do I find out where it goes?

You have to have a submersible pump and it also doesn’t transport any sludge or remove the root ball. The newts hiding there also want to be treated well and there were other obstacles, but they are not important for my question, which is why I didn’t list them individually but left them as a puzzle in the background ;) The matter is settled. But, you should only check the overflow, the "pond" doesn't have to be empty for that.:rolleyes:
If the water level is, for example, always 14 cm below the top edge, there must be something at that height that limits the fill level!

Theoretically, the overflow could also be lower down, analogous to the function of a siphon.
