Hello,
so far, we had PVC flooring directly glued onto the concrete slab in the basement. Since there is always a certain level of moisture in the basement, the PVC had to be removed because moisture had collected underneath. Now I would like to install such floor channels made of plastic in the basement. These have the advantage that moisture does not affect them and they are open, meaning they have grooves... This allows rising moisture to escape and not accumulate underneath.
The only problem is that the basement floor is very dusty because it is the bare concrete slab.
Is there something I could use to pre-treat the floor? Before I lay these channels, I mean. Maybe a primer or something like that. It definitely has to be something that does not seal the floor but allows moisture to pass through.
Thank you Peter
