Why is until 2020 too long?

Because it then slid down too much, possibly all the way to the house wall. Our fastening with planting rings was actually born out of lack of money. One pot 1.40 net, that was unbeatable cheap. Only now, when everything is planted and green, it really looks good. My wife has many roses at the top and such, in the middle ground-covering greenery that overgrows the pots, at the bottom we filled it with screed concrete and covered it with pebbles. The whole thing now looks harmonious, unfortunately I don't have a picture of the current state at hand. I think our saving compromise has turned out quite good after all. Karsten

Sorry, but it's obvious that it's crumbling. Did you think it would stay a vertical edge for 1.5 years??

Whether it reaches the house wall, I don't know. Definitely, your house wall will be quite affected by rain, wind, etc. in 2020. I would have it finished now. Preferably before the exterior plaster.

Yes, that is clear. I wanted to start with the splash guard and the paths already next year.

Landscape gardeners also don't have time immediately but almost only from 2020.

That means either build the wall yourself or wait.

My civil engineer advised me to do it in 2020, as the ground is settling and not yet fully planned.

I am open to all advice.

What does, for example, such a rubble stone wall cost roughly? 15 meters x 1.40 m height?

Thank you all for the great contributions.

You will have to have it dug up again anyway after a few snow and rainfalls. But you should protect the house wall. We had fleece stretched over the ground for months. Nevertheless, the house wall suffered - more than I thought.
