Good day,

I was just in the toilet and wondered why it wouldn't flush, then I opened the cistern and found a connecting pipe broken there. I first turned off the water because it's flowing through there properly, before something worse happens.

What can be done about it? Can it be fixed somehow? Or what exactly is needed? Otherwise, no one can use the toilet, or you always have to manually turn the water on and off. You can remove both pipe parts, but what do you need then?

My suggestion is not to leave it as it is but to fix it!

I just wanted to inform you that the problem has been fixed or rather a new cistern has just been installed. I decided on a new cistern because it lasts longer and all the wear parts are new. Sure, one could have just replaced the fill valve, but a new cistern doesn’t cost much and simply offers more.
