The cellar has settled but the house has not? Gap in the prefabricated house

Hello everyone, I have a perhaps unusual question or concern but I have no idea and experience with such topics. Problem: We had a prefabricated house including a basement built 10 years ago. Now over the years a slightly larger gap has formed outside in the joint between the basement ceiling and the house? This was supposed to be covered with a kind of wool back then but not sealed airtight. It looks really bad today and we also have the feeling as if the house has settled. Also the gap between tiles in the house and the baseboard has become larger. Sometimes up to 2 cm gap?! Throughout the whole house!! What has happened there? Could it be that the basement has settled but the house has not? Or whatever :rolleyes: Do I have to do something about it? Thanks for your comments, experiences, and ideas Jens

A small gap has always been there, but it has definitely become larger. Could it be possible/happen that the screed or floor slab breaks due to unevenness? We once had the feeling that there was a very loud cracking noise in the house.....like a break or crack.

Only very limitedly. What can be seen is apparently not rain-tight visible wool, which needs to be fixed quickly. In no way can one see a reason why the house should be floating.
