Good evening,
I have two questions regarding the correct implementation of the connection between the terrace and the terrace door and the house wall. Our landscaper installed a base channel as specified by the house builder's execution detail, which connects to the house wall. However, no spacers were used. The base channels are set in drainage mortar and additionally fixed at certain points with concrete:

Is the absence of spacers problematic, or is it acceptable as it is?
The outdoor area at the door threshold was sealed by the house building company with a sealing membrane, and our landscaper has now applied a reactive sealing layer. The cavity is to be filled with drainage mortar and paved up to the door.
However, I fear that the coarse-grained drainage mortar will press into the sealing and perforate it. In the detailed drawing from our house building company, it is also filled with gravel here. How would you properly fill this without endangering the sealing? Should a dimpled membrane or drainage mat be placed on the sealing here? If yes, should it just be laid loosely, or would it be better to bond it again with reactive sealing?
