Hello everyone,

what is a "switchable socket with light switch"? Do you mean it then has two switches, one for the light and one for the socket?
Also, I don’t understand the difference between "1 ceiling light point [tolles Wort!] in series connection" and "1 ceiling light point with off-switch." I find both terms in our building description. When it talks about two-way switching (in the hallway), I can probably switch on and off with two switches in different locations, right?

Thanks for the help.
Hendrik

Switchable socket can be turned on and off via a switch. For example, behind the TV.

In the case of series switches, the toggle switches are split into two parts. This makes sense, for example, if you have a multi-bulb lamp and want to turn on only part or all of the lights depending on the mood.

Ah, thanks. But "switchable socket with light switch" is a strange phrase, isn't it?

A switch basically just turns the power on and off; that they are mostly used for lights is another matter, right?

I would definitely ask the author of the construction description! He might mean that a switch is used for the switching function of the socket, as is otherwise used for lighting. This is -- as you can see -- formulated even more awkwardly. :-). Possibly, if it is a very particular provider, he has concrete ideas about how far the switch may be from the socket ... In general: Have all unclear passages of the construction service description explained!
