Hello,
I have a problem:
Our entire heating system runs on district heating. Hot water is heated in the boiler.
The boiler has a thermometer and a sensor that goes into the district heating transfer station and shows how many degrees the water SHOULD have.

Now I have realized that the sensor temperature is incorrect, often by up to 12 degrees.
The boiler thermometer still shows about 50°, but the district heating station only shows, for example, 37° - WITHOUT much water being drawn.

I also tried drawing hot water from the kitchen, removed the boiler sensor from the boiler, and held it in the hot water, and there the sensor showed the correct temperature of about 50°.

--> Sensor is not broken; it just transmits incorrect values.

The boiler is from the brand Di-Tech.

What can be done?
Thank you very much!

PS: The boiler sensor is attached in the boiler with a kind of spring that you pinch together, and the sensor is positioned inside, so the sensor insertion should be correct!...

Hello, you write that the heating runs on district heating, so about 37 ° (underfloor heating) is probably okay. If the domestic hot water is heated in the boiler, that has nothing to do with the district heating pipe, does it?

Exactly, underfloor heating is not an issue at all!

But I definitely want hot water at 55 degrees. And I don't want the 500l boiler to heat up again from 37 to 55 every 2 hours just because the sensor demonstrably delivers incorrect values from the district heating station.

As I said, the water is still over 50 degrees hot when I let it run in the kitchen, the boiler sensor only shows 37, and the district heating station wants to reheat the boiler.

So if I understand correctly, the district heating station switches the heating process of your separately controlled boiler. Then the operator of the district heating station is obliged to check that. In addition, the water should be heated to about 60° once a week due to the risk of legionella.
Best regards

Well, the FW station only heats up because the sensor is giving wrong values.

Could there be a problem with the contact where the sensor plugs into the boiler? On the other hand, I can't really push the sensor into the boiler any further than completely to the stop...

hello,
I don't know if it's because of the sensor. Was the boiler also supplied by the provider? If yes, they have to check it. If no, just order a LG
