Telephone connection and/or cable connection

I am currently considering this. Since you can watch TV over the internet connection nowadays (IPTV), I am thinking about the either-or solution.

Now the question of the monthly costs. Has anyone ever calculated this by chance and can give a recommendation?

With the cable connection, I have to pay an additional monthly fee for the connection on top of the KabelDeutschland fees for TV/phone/internet, right?

Since the ground is going to be dug up anyway and you will never get connections so cheaply again, we had both installed in the house. However, we watch TV via Sat :) Telephone and Internet via cable or Telekom as a backup solution. Monthly costs are therefore only for Internet/Telephone ==> depends on the chosen options, probably starting from 20 € per month.

We have had both installed - this way we keep both options open. RWE additionally (unsolicited) laid a fiber optic connection into the house for us. Presumably in preparation for a future telecommunications offer (Internet via electricity?). Currently, we do not use the Telekom connection at all. We run everything completely through Kabel Deutschland since we were quite satisfied with the connection in the old apartment. Therefore, we pay for telephone / internet (phone number from Kabel Dtl.) as well as television with the "small" HD package. In two years, when the costs for the outdoor area are paid off, we will then consider satellite TV (which we had to cut out during construction for cost reasons).

Doesn't the cable connection cost a sum x per month, whether you use it or not?

Same question for telephone connection ^^
