Technical specifications for Ikea 365+SÄNDA power supply

That can’t be true:

Does anyone know the technical data of: 365 SÄNDA power supplies (ceiling connection)?

Why are such products allowed on the market without the information max. total wattage or which power supply type (AC/DC)? This question arises because Ikea only offers quite weak LED bulbs, which then have to be purchased on the open market.

Maybe someone has this info.

Quite simple: they are not power supplies, but just connections for the rails. For these, it says:

Max. Belastung in einem System, das aus einer oder mehreren Schienen besteht: 2200 W.

The rails operate at mains voltage (230V). Regards, IKEA-Freund

Thank you very much. My assumption: the documents currently stored at IKEA for the rail system and the components are still instructions made for the old halogen world... and not for the LED world. :eek:

Anyway, if that also applies to the LED world: 230 volts via rail up to the spotlight. But the current must be reduced to 12 volts there because the LED GU5.3 lamps only consume a few watts.

That means somewhere a lamp transformer must be inside. And for that, the max watt specifications would be helpful.

Background: I want to get brighter LED lamps than the 200lm dim bulbs (which are the only ones available for purchase at IKEA and nothing else). About 600lm should be active per spotlight.

Addition: I have now found out by myself. The transformer is inside the spotlight and per spotlight maximum 20 watts. :p

Hello, the transformer is in the spot. Unfortunately, the power rating is missing. It's best if you ask IKEA via Facebook.

I already wrote it... max. 20 watts per spotlight. It also costs 25 EUR. IKEA should adapt its documents (on the homepage) to reality (LED technology). Halogen is outdated.

Osram LED STAR MR16 50 36° 2700K LED 8W 621 lm A were ordered for 11.50 EUR/piece.

That clarifies the matter.
